Product Overview

The innovative conical tip design of our UltraPoint™ Monopolar EMG needle electrodes result in extremely low penetration-resistance levels and minimal stress for the patient. Enhanced insertion efficiency and patient comfort are both achieved by its ergonomically designed handgrip, which allows for maximum control.

Needle electromyography (EMG) is a diagnostic test used to evaluate the health of muscles and the nerves that control them. It involves inserting a thin needle electrode into a muscle and measuring the electrical activity produced when the muscle is stimulated. This electrical activity is known as the electromyographic (EMG) signal. The electromyograph records the electrical activity of the muscle, through the measurement of different aspects of the MUAP (motor unit action potential) like: duration, amplitude, number of phases as well as the recruitment pattern during the muscle contraction clinicians can confirm or rule out the diagnosis of multiple neuromuscular disorders as well as assessment of therapeutic interventions and pre-surgical evaluations. High-quality EMG needle electrodes are always required for accurate readings and reliable diagnosis.
